Black abstraction: structures, spirits, space, shapes and snapshots

Things are not as they seem. You are not as you seem. I am not always seen. This is how I see.

I use abstraction to tune out in order to tune in. Colors, shapes, rules of my own making. I return to home, patterns you might see in a home, and the people I love who will not be with me at home forever. I take comfort in the hard edges, the soft distinctions and the ways they can exist together. They can exist in dissonance. This is when some of the sweetest results emerge. They are memory and possibility.

When words fail, that’s when the images rush in to complete my sentences.
