I'm Here Too Podcast

I’m Here Too Podcast

A podcast, hosted by Ara Tucker that explores the intersections of art, culture, creativity, family, identity and all that fills the spaces in between.

We all have a chance to make our own mark, our own impression. Big or small as it ends up being. What a freeing realization that has been for me. Don’t get me wrong. It’s been a long and circuitous road getting to the place where “I” feels authentic and where I don’t apologize for the way I walk through the world.

It took me a long time to get to here, a place where I will be seen and heard. But now that I’m here, I’m eager for some company. I look forward to sharing my journey with you, learning from others, and creating a space where we can feel more connected, inspired and safe to be ourselves.

Off we go!

Trailer

I started this podcast because I was lonely.

When I launched last August, I didn't have a marketing plan, a content strategy, or a clearly defined audience. I just knew that despite having more ways to connect with people than ever before, I was feeling increasingly disconnected. I was becoming more impatient than curious.

I was pretty sure the world didn't need another podcast.

But I also knew how much of my own life has been shaped by people who've been generous enough to take the time to share what they've learned along the way. I wondered what might happen if I created more space for those kinds of conversations.

So I started inviting people whose journeys I was curious about. Founders, artists, executives, writers, parents, old friends—people who were willing to have the kinds of conversations that only happen when you let them breathe, when you’re okay taking the scenic route.

A year and twenty conversations later, we’ve covered a lot of ground. Ground that definitely takes more than one listen to fully absorb. And so, over the coming weeks, I'm bringing these conversations back—not chronologically, but by theme.

How do you find your voice?

What happens when the life you worked so hard to build doesn’t fit anymore?

What makes creativity possible?

How do we create community?

And what’s the deal with midlife?

Some episodes will appear in more than one thematic bucket, and that's intentional because people rarely fit neatly into a single category. Neither do the stories that shape us.

Alongside the conversations, I'll end each “thematic segment” with closing reflections I released along the way as I began making sense of what I'd been hearing.

Whether you're returning to these conversations or finding them for the first time, I hope you find the one you need to hear or the one that you’d love to share. Even if there’s just one nugget that helps you see your own life a little differently, asks a question you didn't know you needed, or simply reminds you that you're not alone, then the journey will have been well worth it.

Off we go.
